Are you concerned about whether you'll ever find your purpose? Well, don't be. Eventually, you'll find yours too, just as our guest, Malia Mckinney, did in her 60s.
As it was expected at the time, Malia spent 30+ years of her career working in corporations in the hospitality industry as a sales and marketing leader. Towards the end of her long career, however, she had this deep realization that what she was doing was not fulfilling and purposeful. And that voice only got louder.
She then began volunteering for an organization that provides services to those shunned by society where she had a pivotal awakening moment to her true bigger purpose. Since that moment, she went through a very challenging transition from her corporate self to her now purposeful self. And she has never been happier.
In this episode, we discussed:
What Malia's current purpose is and the practice she is sharing to bring more joy and love into people's lives
How Malia leaned into her Christian faith to gain the clarity and impetus to live her purpose
How she transitioned from a high paying corporate career to one that relies on the generosity of others
And we had a fascinating deep discussion about the differences between faith and religion, the concept of God, and the importance of having a community to help you reach your purpose.
This interview with Malia definitely inspired me with lots of wisdom and practical advice on how to ignite and reach my purpose. I hope Malia's story will inspire you to find yours too.
